The Metro EMS Region is made up of the seven metropolitan counties of Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington. Together, the population of these counties is approximately 2.5 million, representing about 55% of Minnesota's population. EMS responds to approximently 277,000 EMS calls a year in the Metro.
